Hôtel VIDAL

Building several centuries, the hotel VIDAL welcomes you to CERET.

"Spes in utroque": "hope in any circumstance" is the motto of Bishop Soubiran that has shaped the magnificent facade of the building. And your hopes will not be disappointed if you expect to stay in one of these charming small hotels in the heart of our cities and villages.

If history walls date back to 1733, when they still belonged to the family FABRE, the true history of the building began when Bishop Soubiran, retired to his hometown, and in 1887 bought the building in which he decorated the facade with palm tress as a relief in memory of his visits to overseas.

After the death of Monseigneur Soubiran the inheritance fell to his niece. Then in 1930 it was transformed into a hotel by Jacques and Quimette VIDAL who gave their name.

Several buyers have succeeded at the helm of the hotel which is now held by the spouses Fourquet, who kept the historical name: the hotel VIDAL.

A ten rooms for € 40 (double bed) and a breakfast at 6 € opens the door to a historic town, among the more pleasant to live in Pyrenees Orientales, and very appreciated by foreign customers who love smalls paradises.

The restaurant housed by the hotel, the Restaurant del Bisbe, serves in the dining room or in this beautiful little terrace gourmet menus (catalan inspiration) from 29 €.

If you want to visit our region, CERET remains inevitable stop Catalan culture, where you will also find the famous Museum of Modern Art, and above all a true tourist stop in the true sense of the term, which unsightly concrete and sellers of “gri-gri” have not overtaken the traditional authentic small businesses.
